The Story

The Jackson Ebi Panic lure range was designed specifically for use in Australian saltwater estuaries when chasing whiting, bream and/or flathead.

These unique prawn imitation lures are a mix between a small pencil and a popper, with a small cup on the face of the lure to create just the right amount of splash on each twitch of the lure to replicate a fleeing prawn. The Ebi Panic lure also has its tow point at the rear of the prawn's body, which is more accurate then having it at the front as this is how prawns swim.

Fit with a strong treble and a double assist hook off the back of the lure, it's versatile for a range of different species, particularly whilst fishing the shallows.

How to Use the Jackson Ebi Panic

The Ebi Panic is designed for the shallows and its rear weight allows it to have a nice long cast for its size but also keep the rear down in the water to best imitate a prawn on the retrieve.

If you're targeting whiting, after it hits the water you want to make sure you keep a constant retrieve and never stop moving the lure as the whiting won't hit it if it stops. Rod tip down and a constant flicking of it whilst reeling is the action you want to be doing here to really get the lure moving.

If you're targeting bream or flathead, the same action can be used but a pause here and there won't hurt at all and they would more likely hit when it stops anyway.

Have a look at the YouTube video on the Jackson Ebi Panic Lure for a little more insight into how to use the lure and what it's capable of.
